OFFICIAL VIDEO: She

Eric Roberson is by far one of my favorite independent artist, and his album Music Fan 1st is amazing. The lyrics to this song are remarkable...The one thing that I love about Eric Roberson, is that he really brings situations to life and gives you a whole new outlook on your personal life.

So Voicers tell me what you think of the video, and if you haven't already gotten the CD Music Fan's 1st than this video alone, should be reason enough for you to go out and grab it!

Peace,
V.I.W.

Voice Video Wednesday...America Was Suppose To Be A Husband by T Miller - Poetry

OK ya'll today's voice video choice is none other than T. Miller...She is one of Detroit's dopest poets, and she is MY FAVORITE poet ever! T. Miller tell's story's of the here and now, and the truth that other's are afraid to even embark on.

I had the opportunity to witness this poet at They Say restaurant in Downtown Detroit during poetry night on Thursday's. And from the moment she step up to the Mic, is the day I never would forget her.

Her style is unique and she's humble, she's just who she is and I love it! I hope you all enjoy this poem and check out her new book "Dream's of a Beginner" check her out also on FB at http://www.facebook.com/tmillerpoetry I have just about all her poetry CD's and after you hear this poem you'll be wanting to hear more.

Much love

Kristopher Lamont "Change"

Kristopher Lamont has brought a new and refreshing sound to R&B with his new debut single “Change”. Kristopher is a native of Detroit, where the city has seen many changes over time, but one thing remains the same, for the city that is known as Motown, is that Detroit breeds musical genius such as Kristopher Lamont, who breaths life and creativity into the city.

Kristopher Lamont’s passion for music is his reason why he gave up his truck driving job, and pursed his life long dream, to hopefully be one of Detroit’s memorable vocal voices heard, not only in his hometown of Detroit, but on major airwaves across the nation. When I spoke with Kristopher, he told me that when he turned on the radio to 107.5 WGPR and heard his song “Change” being played on the air, it was such an awesome feeling and even though his single is receiving much air play in the UK, just to hear his single “Change” being played in his own community was so much more.

Kristopher Lamont, who is an independent artist, has been working overtime on creating his debut album which will be released sometime this spring. What I love the most about Kristopher’s, is his sound, it’s unique, soulful and rich. Coming from a city where music fuels the hearts and souls of many, there is no doubt in my mind, that this talented gifted young man, will win over the hearts of many people, who desire to hear music that can move them up and out of their seats. “Change” being Kristopher’s first single, is very fitting for a man, who has gone through many changes himself and faced many uphill battles to get where he is today, and stepped out on faith, so his voice to can be heard.

Kristopher Lamont wants to be able to touch people with his voice, sound and songwriting capabilities. His musical creativity is endless and his strong dedication to push beyond the enviable vocally will carry him a long way. Real change takes sacrifice and Kristopher has displayed just that. If you want to know more about Kristopher Lamont’s up and coming album and performances, visit him on his website www.kristopherlamont.com follow him on twitter at twitter.com/KrisLamontSouL and check him out on facebook on www.facebook.com/KristopherLamontMusics. Kristopher’s single “Change” is now available on ITunes’s so check him out!

Voice Video Wednesday's...

This weeks Voice Video pick is Charity Ward! I just recently saw this young lady at the Music Hall in Detroit, where she opened for Raheem DeVaughn. Her voice is electirc and she reminds me of Indie Arie. I love the fact that she writes her own music, attends TSU and she is living her dream. Purple, Pink & Gold is an amazing song, you have to listen to the words because we all need to leave our cacoon's behind us in some way or another.

I hope you enjoy it leave your comments on the video and be sure to check her out on youtube at Charity's Note Book and follow her on twitter at CharityClef. I promise you, that you will fall in love with her music.

Voice Video Wednesday's

This week's Voice Video pick is... Big Tone's "Chocolate" feature the ever so talented L'Renee. This video was shot at one of my favorite sneaker joints in Royal Oak. "Burn Rubber Sneakers" I swear they have the dopest, and yes I said dopest sneakers in town, by far!

L'Renee is killing the vocals on this track and Big Tone is definitely doing his thing as well. Please tell me what you think of the video as well as the song, leave your comments and if you got a video that you think is hot or you think I should post for all my hip hop heads and Neo soul fanatic's to hear as well as see... email me at voiceisword@yahoo.com.

If you want your music heard next week Wednesday be sure to hit me up.

Much love,
V.I.W

A Vocal Experience you will not 4get!

This Friday it's going down at the Music Hall and your's truly will definitely be present in the building. I'm a super huge fan of Raheem DeVaughn and Kindred the Family Soul, but I'm most excited about seeing Chartiy, Monica Blarie and Vina Mills rock the stage. I'm ready to hear Charity sing purple, pink & gold it's like music therapy for me and the words alone are uplifting and encouraging. If you have not already gotten your tickets, I think you may still be in luck. If you're a lover of true neo-soul music, than this my friend is the concert you need to be at.

If you have any upcoming events taking place in the month of December, email me at voiceisword@yahoo.com so I can post your events to the site. Where ever there's originality with creativity I want to be in the house, so I can be apart of history in the making and take it all in. Those who crave great places to hang, will appreciate knowing where the real grown people hang out at too. So be sure to inbox me your info or post your events on my facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/pages/Voice-Is-Word/172919472726008
