Joy Road Trailer

What's up V.I.W peeps...if you're from the city of Detroit than you're very familiar when you hear "joy rd exit 9 come up off the freeway" Writer/Director Harry Davis created this independent film title Joy Road, and from the looks of the trailer, he chose some very familiar faces to be in this film, such as, Wood Harris (The Wire), Trick Trick, Jamie Hector (Marloe from the Wire) Just to name a few.

The film is being shown in Detroit starting tomorrow October 21, 2011. You can go and support the film at AMC Star Southfield and AMC Star Fairlane. MERCI Let's Run Away

Ladies and gentleman...here is a young lady with great vocals and talent. I've had the privileged to have seen this young lady grow up in my home church, Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist in Detroit, MI hearing her singing in the children's and youth choir, blowing the entire congregation away with her remarkable voice. Her voice, granted her access to American Idols season two where she had an opportunity to show the world, just how amazing her voice was. Kelly Price 'Not My Daddy' Official Video

Kelly Price's self title album "Kelly" drops tomorrow and I am in love with this song. I'm not only a huge fan of Kelly Price, but of Stokley of Mint Condition. It's been a while since we've had this amazing voice grace us with her R&B vocals, well she had an all star cast working with her on her new album, which I know will be heavy rotation on my ipod touch! Voice Video Wednesday's...

This weeks Voice Video pick is Charity Ward! I just recently saw this young lady at the Music Hall in Detroit, where she opened for Raheem DeVaughn. Her voice is electirc and she reminds me of Indie Arie. I love the fact that she writes her own music, attends TSU and she is living her dream. Purple, Pink & Gold is an amazing song, you have to listen to the words because we all need to leave our cacoon's behind us in some way or another.

Voice Video Wednesday's

This week's Voice Video pick is... Big Tone's "Chocolate" feature the ever so talented L'Renee. This video was shot at one of my favorite sneaker joints in Royal Oak. "Burn Rubber Sneakers" I swear they have the dopest, and yes I said dopest sneakers in town, by far!

L'Renee is killing the vocals on this track and Big Tone is definitely doing his thing as well.
